What is Reiki?

Brief History

Reiki is  an ancient healing modality that was rediscovered by a Japanese Buddhist Monk named Mikao Usui in the late 1800’s. During a pilgrimage on Mt. Kuri Yama, he fasted and meditated for twenty-one straight days. He discovered a series of symbols and in his mind’s eye and he saw how to use these symbols to channel universal healing frequencies in through his body and out through his hands. Master Usui mastered this technique and over time, began to heal entire communities, eventually choosing a successor to teach the technique. Many generations have passed and what was once a small group has grown into a global community that I feel privileged to be a part of.

Reiki & You

Reiki works directly with your Chakras (subtle energy centers) to remove blockages and infuse your entire body with healing energy. This helps you heal from a variety of traumatic events that cause cyclical patterns of negative thoughts and emotions and behaviors allowing for new patterns to emerge. Once each Chakra has been cleared and the body’s energy systems are working properly, the clearing of negative and stagnant energy can begin. This process takes a total of twenty one days after the healing session has been completed and can have very transformative results. Reiki can also be applied to injuries to relieve pain and facilitate faster and more efficient healing. It is extremely effective for treating migraine headaches, chronic pain spots, and can help alleviate stomach pain and many other ailments. Reiki is extremely effective because it heals on every level from cellular to emotional to mental to spiritual. Reiki helps your body heal itself the way it was naturally designed to. As a practitioner I am merely the conduit for this universal healing energy and feel truly honored to be able to use it to heal myself and others. I hope you’ll consider allowing it to heal you as well.

Reiki & Animals

Reiki is also highly effective for healing animals and is particularly effective with most horses, cats, and dogs! It can help alleviate pain, recover from injuries faster and more effectively, regulate the digestive system, and even relieve anxiety especially in dogs. I’ve found that dogs who behave poorly when their owner is gone for an extended period of time often behave much better when given a Reiki session prior to, or in some cases during, the owners’ absence. It can also be very effective in relieving anxiety in cats who are having difficulty adapting to new pets or situations. I’m happy to do in home visits to work with pets of any kind. I have a strong connection with dogs and cats and they are usually excited to meet me and are drawn to the feeling that Reiki provides them.

Reiki & Crystals

Crystal Energy Healing is when as a practitioner I place specific crystals with healing properties on specific points on the energetic body that stimulates the system and improves blood circulation, mental and physical relaxation, and promote a general sense of calm and well being. Once the crystals have been placed, I use Quartz crystals to cleanse all three layers of the client’s Auric field, infusing the Chakra system with healing energy. This process allows the client to relax on every level and removes stagnant energy and attachments allowing you to feel lighter, calmer, and clearer. For those looking for an even deeper clearing I also offer Advanced Crystal Energy Healing using a custom made set of crystals designed specifically to heal on the deepest levels and to open your mind to the higher realms and the intuitive wisdom that is available to you. I personally would highly recommend combining Reiki & Crystal Energy Healing for a truly powerful healing experience. Distance Reiki

Reiki can also be sent over distances to any individual who is willing to receive the energy even, if we have never met in person (although it can be more effective with people I have already worked with in person). All I require is the client’s full name and a picture of them, and I am able to send them Reiki from any distance. I have sent to individuals across the United States and in Canada who have had powerful healing experiences despite us having never met in person. I am happy to send Reiki to anyone who is open to receive the energy - wherever they might be in the world!
